Experience The New Normal in Bangsar South

Ever since the pandemic happened; I have been constantly reminding myself to keep safe! I tried to maximise dining at home, cook at home and even go out less. But at times, I couldn’t always stay home as my job requires me to travel.

Keeping yourself safe is indeed a MUST by donning a face mask and using hand sanitiser,  as well as practising social distancing. I was truly impressed with how Bangsar South had geared up to keep employees, and visitors safe.

PARKING

Bangsar South had implemented numerous safety measures starting from the parking. The introduction of contactless parking at its premises made our life much easier as we longer need to queue to pay for our parking fee or have direct contact with the parking payment machine.

Visitors can just tap their credit card on the panel upon entering the car park and tap again with the same credit card during exit. I love this service because it is convenient, safe and time-saving. I can also minimise my contact with machines and people during this pandemic period. With this system, I also do not need to worry about misplacing my parking ticket.

EATERIES
During our day in Bangsar South, we dined at Botanica + Co. Being one of the popular restaurants that is always packed with patrons, the staff were indeed very professional and provided us with peace of mind while dining there.

Before entering the restaurant, we had to check-in with the MySejahtera mobile app. After that, temperature was taken to ensure that we did not have  fever. We were then provided with a paper bag to keep our face masks.  Social distancing was practised during our meal as well.

Once seated, we were given a piece of paper to scan the menu, view and order our choice of food.

We were spoilt for choice with a myriad of food options including  Chicken Katsu Don, Halibut Fish & Chips, The Botanica Laksa and many more.

Aside from Botanica + Co, Bangsar South also features a plethora of eateries such as Souled Out, OrientalTreasure, Chong Qing Steamboat, Edo Ichi, Buena Brasa Gastro Pub, Khan’s Indian Cuisine and Oiso.

Buena Brasa is one of the restaurants which is worth a visit for its famed beef and pork dishes. The food here is superbly good and delicious!  Face masks are also worn by the staff at all times and physical distancing is practised.

HEALTHCARE

In addition to Food and Beverage, Bangsar South also offers a series of beauty and healthcare services. We had the opportunity to pay a visit to  OasisEye Specialists. Upon entering, we were required to check-in using the MySejahtera mobile app, followed by body temperature screening and hand sanitising.

For those who are not aware, OasisEye Specialists is a dedicated eye care centre that provides a comprehensive range of ophthalmology services..   It was founded by a consortium of ophthalmologists with one common vision; to provide the best, affordable and evidence-based eye care to patients. OasisEye Specialists is unique, in that it is wholly-owned and run by doctors, and hence, the main focus is the quality of care being provided to patients.

OasisEye Specialists is centrally located in Nexus Bangsar South and is easily accessible with good transport links, adjacent accommodation and a wide variety of eateries and retail outlets. Boasting a sizable area of 10,000 square feet, purely dedicated to eye care, are 8 consultation suites, 2 diagnostic rooms, 2 treatment rooms, 1 laser room, 1 day care surgical ward and 2 operating theatres with general anaesthetic facilities. Additionally, the centre uses the latest diagnostic and therapeutic modalities which are on par with top eye centres internationally. It is also fully networked and runs on a paperless electronic medical record (EMR) system.

To ensure the safety of patients, the equipment are sanitised after use.  Safe distancing is also practised at all times.

HOTEL

Warm and welcoming, Komune Living made me feel right at home. Its hospitality service was well above par and we were pleasantly surprised by how convenient its contactless check-in facility was. All we needed to do was slot in our identification card and self check-in with the booking number. It was an easy and time saving arrival experience for us.

More than a hotel, Komune Living is a co-living concept space with private studios and apartment-style rooms that come with a small living room, bedroom and dining area. They are really comfortable with a relaxing ambiance that I love!

Its community facilities feature co-living elements such as the communal open kitchen, lounge, games room, outdoor barbecue area, rooftop pool and laundrette that are designed to encourage social interaction amongst guests.

Overall,  I must say that the precautionary measures and social distancing approaches that have been put in place for the safety and wellbeing of the community at Bangsar South are highly commendable. So, no worries, you can now visit Bangsar South with greater peace of mind!
